"I Just wanted to say a very big thank to Brian Peters for teaching me to play the bagpipes over the past year. Much to my surprise there is far more to playing the bagpipes than I ever imagined. Firstly although there are only 8 notes they certainly use alot of them in the music as grace notes. Secondly, I think Kate will agree with me, we both thought it would be easier once a got the full set of pipes. Oh no! thats when things got really interesting, breathing (without passing out), squeezing, blowing and fingering all at the same time. But with Brians patience I can now play several tunes without the music. I would also like to thank Brians wife Shirley who has had to endure all the squeaking and squawking. It has been an incredible experience full of challenges which I have thoroughly enjoyed, and for anyone looking for a challenge this year I can strongly recommend learning to play the bagpipes with Brian. "Thank you all for performing so magnificently at the Tivoli on Sunday, Mat 21st. The disaster that the weather could have cause was soon dispelled by the super sounds coming from the auditorium. We raised just over £700 on the day, which will go towards new curtains and carpet in the auditorium. Thank you to you all for saving the day!
