Fantasy Flute Choir

The flute choir was the first group established by Grrr's World of Music approximately two years ago. Since then it has grown from strength to strength, performing at several local events and functions including weddings, garden parties and charity events. Swing City Big Band 2

An amalgamation of Big Band music and Funky Jam with improvisation. Don't be scared off... it's very informal and allows amateur musicians the chance to 'have a go'. Everyone is welcome here but we are a bit reed heavy at the moment so if you're a rhythm or brass we need you, if you are a saxophone player we'll put you on our waiting list. The original Swing City Big Band started this way in Hertfordshire and went on to win the regional final of the Daily Telegraph Youth Jazz Competition. Over 12 years their accomplishments include, supporting the Foundation Philharmonic orchestra in their Bowl Concerts, performing at Alexander Palace and Disneyland Paris, the National Waterways Festival in London, supporting the Humphrey Lyttleton Big band, raising over £6000 for the Headway Charity through '40s nights and several European Tours. Both bands are available for hire.

Sax Pak

From Dixieland to Eighties Band "Anything Goes" with the Sax Pak comprising of Baritone, Tenor, Alto and Soprano. An advanced version of this group called Switch are also available for functions and events, once again please use the link.

Junior Band

This band is for children up to 13 years old and is open to all instrumentalists at a standard of Grade 2 and above. The emphasis is on fun as we play lots of well known themes such as the Flintstones and James Bond and often take part in local carnivals.

Clarinet Choir

This group is open to all clarinet players. We play a variety of music and often have the opportunity to play at concerts and other local events. At this band you will have fun whilst improving on your clarinet.
